Unforgettable Experience Aboard Andiamo in the BVI’s! Our trip on the catamaran Andiamo in the British Virgin Islands with Mente and Annick was nothing short of spectacular! From start to finish, we were treated to an incredible experience filled with sunshine, warm turquoise waters, and top-notch hospitality. Mente was exceptional—knowledgeable, professional, and always ensuring we had the best experiences at every stop. Whether it was finding the perfect secluded beach, guiding us .

We had the privilege of spending our Christmas holiday on the Andiamo. The BVI and the Andiamo are both absolutely beautiful, but Mente and Annick are what made the trip exceptional. Their attention to detail and communication from the beginning was impeccable. They really went the extra mile. They had even gotten a little Christmas tree and other decorations. Annick made a the best turkey we have ever had for Christmas dinner and even made cookies for us to decorate on Christmas. Mente was alwa.

Food, cocktails, sailing lessons, perfect anchorage’s, hidden gems, fishing, water sports—simply everything was above and beyond. We will be back sailing with them again soon. We just returned home from the best vacation of our lives. My wife, three teenagers, and myself spent 6 perfect nights on Apricity with Mente and Annick. I can’t even begin to tell you how thoughtful and attentive they were to our every need and want. They were thorough but not overbearing at all. Mente kept us safe while teaching my son and I the basics of sailing, mooring, and anchoring the entire trip. He was happy to answer any questions we had about sailing and the boat in particular. I’ve been visiting the BVIs periodically since 1999 (at least 10 times). Some of the visits have been in our boat, others in bareboat charters. This was the first time we went for a crewed charter. The decision was made in part because not all in the group had sailing / boating experience and mostly because we wanted to rest and not worry about logistics, provisioning, cooking, reserving moorings, etc. The result…best vacation ever in the BVIs. Perfect combination between a great group of frie.

Having returned from a week aboard Apricity in the BVIs, we are frequently asked “what was your favorite part”? Our response’s have been consistent – Mente and Annick made this trip exceptional! The BVIs are wonderful, but having their experience, expertise, and positive attitude was wonderful. The food was consistently amazing and they both endeavored to ensure no obstacle would interfere with our celebrations. The two of them worked non-stop to ensure we had the best time on our trip, and trul.

A week with the best Mente & Annick – my family and I know this is see ya later not goodbye. We have made friends and memories that will last a lifetime! From the food to the boating knowledge nothing has gone for want! Annick was fantastic, food was even better, and the attention given to my kids . . . the best!! Born in Plettenberg Bay along the coast of South Africa Caydon grew up in a small town. His first year out of high school he spent in Australia working abroad. It was there that he was introduced to yachting, coming onboard as a guest. He quickly fell in love with the concept and when he returned home he began his sailing courses and has been working on the water ever since.
Since then he has worked for several sailing schools and has been an instructor for both power and sailing vessels. He spent last season in Croatia working for Yachtweek where he fell in love with chartering and the experience of sailing with guests from all over the world. It was there that he was able to evolve his love of being on the water from teaching to accommodating and entertaining guests and showing them just how magnificent our sea landscape can be. He looks forward to continuing to share his love of sailing with others in the Caribbean.

Natasha Milliken-Smith
Born and raised in the charming city of Oxford, UK, Natasha’s connection to the sea was cultivated during
summers spent on boats in the Balearic Islands. This early exposure to maritime life sparked a passion for the ocean and travel.
After finishing high school, Natasha followed this passion by training and working as a stewardess on superyachts. It was during this time that she developed a keen interest in cooking, inspired by the incredible chefs she worked alongside. Eager to transition from stewardess to chef, Natasha took on the role of crew chef, spending a season cooking and cruising through the Mediterranean.
Balancing her love for the sea with academic pursuits, Natasha returned to the UK to complete a Master’s degree in Chemistry. Throughout her university years, she enriched her culinary skills by attending short cooking courses, continuously expanding her repertoire. Her summers were spent in Croatia, where she worked as a chef on smaller sailing charters, developing her style of cooking and guest experience.
Upon completing her degree, Natasha attended the UK’s prestigious White Pepper Chef’s Academy, where she completed a professional chef’s course, further refining her culinary expertise. With her diverse hospitality background and extensive experience, Natasha brings a unique blend of scientific precision and creative flair to her role as a yacht chef. Having sailed and cooked her way through the Mediterranean, she is excited to see what the other side of the Atlantic has to offer and is dedicated to crafting exquisite dishes whilst providing guests with an unforgettable experience.
