Last week me and my wife and two other couples chartered the EMYSA for a week-long trip in the BVIs. The captain was Caleb Haydock and the chef was Adhika Malhotra. Over the pat 25 yeas, my wife and I have enjoyed sailing in the BVIs. Without a doubt, we have never had a crew we enjoyed sailing with or were taken as Care of as well as this trip with y’all. I have never eater as well either. Sailing with four rids under 12 always adds a little spice butY’all were incredible with then and so caring to adjust the meals to cater to the littles. I haven’t ever seen my kids eat as much as they did this week. Caleb thank you for adjusting our plan dail.

Where do I even begin to describe this trip? For the short version, it was absolutely the trip of a lifetime in every way. For the long version, I am honestly not sure it could have been any better! I want to start off by saying that Justin & I are beyond grateful for your assistance in setting up this experience for us all. Apart from a 9-hour delay in finally getting to Nassau after bad weather in Texas heavily disrupted our flights on Thursday, we had the smoothest, most efficient advent.

Dear Adhika & Caleb, Thank you for such a wonderful week on Harmony. We are a challenging group to please, given our culinary and dietary demands, our previous boating experiences, and our familiarity with the Bahamas, but you absolutely exceeded our expectations. Your level of service and constant drive to "wow" us with another magical site or an original, delicious meal has made this such a memorable holiday. Caleb and Adi were amazing!!! We really enjoyed the charter and the amazing and welcoming experience that the crew planned. Adi's food and table presence was next level- she made sure everyone was taken care of with any dietary restrictions they could have. 10/10. And Caleb was excellent- he attended to every need and made sure we did everything we wanted to do: fishing, snorkeling, water sports - days full of activities! 10/10. You have an amazing crew here. Caleb & Deeks- This was our 2nd time chartering a catamaran. We had an amazing first time so our expectations were already high. Our family just had the trip of a lifetime!! Caleb and Adhika thought of everything and more!! They truly catered every part of the experience to us. The food, the adventure, the planning, their thoughtfulness was second to none. Every day Caleb’s had surprises up his sleeves and fun experiences for us and my boys. We did some adventures we’ve never done before, including spearfishing. As a mama bear, I felt completely safe, knowing Caleb’s was taking care of us. He was always on guar.

Where to begin... This was the most amazing trip we have EVER had! The boat was beyond comfortable and stocked with anything and everything we could have wanted or needed. Bastian and Sarai were above and beyond in every way. They were new to these islands but did their homework to show us all the precious places to see and experience. Then there is the food & dining experience on EMYSA.. No words... We dined like royalty. Each meal was well thought out, planned, and delicious! We had lots .

This was the most amazing trip we have EVER had!

5 out of 5 all around. We had so much fun in the water with the toys aboard the boat. Bastian was the perfect captain providing us with the best locations for snorkeling. Sari put so much effort into making the meals, and were over the top delicious! The boat was very comfortable and clean and we enjoyed all the spots we stayed. One of my best adventures

This charter was the vacation of a lifetime. The vessel was perfect for a group of 4 to 6 and the Crew was beyond exceptional! Sarai is an incredibly talented Chef and Captain Bastian is very competent, attentive, and devoted. We would love to take off again soon! -BARSALOU .

Hands down the best vacation ever! The boat is beautiful and had everything we could have thought of and more. Your attention to detail, thoughtfulness and cooking is out of this world. This vacation exceeded ALL of my expectations. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left – everything was absolutely exceptional! We were greeted, after a long day of travel, with the most beautiful, candle lit dinner on the back of the boat which was the envy of other guests at the marina. The boat is truly luxurious, a giant, light filled salon with sweeping views of the crystal blue water everywhere you look. So much space you will never feel crowded. The dining table on the back.

EMYSA is fantastically equipped, we saw no reason for shore visits. Bastian and Sarai are top notch sailors and the cocktails and meals were over the top. We could not have asked for anything more. Each day was better than the day before with snorkeling, kayaking in the glass kayak, and playing on the scooters. We only used half the available toys. The crew made this a trip of a lifetime. Alan’s love for the water began early, during family sailing vacations on Cape Cod and Lake Huron’s North Channel—home to some of the finest freshwater sailing in the world. Those formative experiences sparked a lifelong connection to the sea and set the course for the life he now leads.

Before trading city life for island time, Alan spent over 20 years in Canada’s hospitality scene in Ottawa, mastering his craft in top restaurants and nightlife venues. From busboy to bartender, restaurant manager to nightclub owner in Ottawa’s vibrant Market district, he developed a deep understanding of exceptional service, attention to detail, and the art of a perfectly crafted cocktail—skills that now elevate every moment onboard.

Now in his 20th season chartering in the Virgin Islands, Alan brings a wealth of experience as both an owner-operator and private charter captain. With years of sailing these waters, he is known for his calm, confident presence and his unwavering commitment to guest comfort and safety. His intimate knowledge of the BVI allows him to effortlessly curate days filled with hidden anchorages, turquoise bays, and just the right amount of adventure.

As a certified Dive Instructor, Alan offers Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) experience as well as full scuba instruction for those ready to go deeper. He leads all in-water activities—from guided dives and snorkeling to water sports and sea scooter exploration.

Randeen – Chef / Mate
Originally from the Canadian prairies—where winter is more of a lifestyle than a season—Randeen made the inspired decision to swap snow boots for sandy toes and sunshine. Leaving behind a successful corporate career, she followed her passion for hospitality, food, and adventure to the Caribbean.

With a background in corporate event planning and customer service, Randeen brings a refined sense of organization, creativity, and attentiveness to every charter. She has a natural talent for anticipating guests’ needs and creating an experience that feels both effortless and thoughtfully curated.

In the galley, Randeen blends creativity with Caribbean flair, crafting fresh, vibrant dishes using local ingredients and global inspiration. Her menus are as flexible as they are flavorful, with a keen ability to cater to dietary preferences while still delivering beautifully presented, satisfying cuisine.

A natural social host with a quick wit and easy charm, she effortlessly sets the tone onboard—whether it’s a relaxed afternoon, sunset cocktails, or a lively evening under the stars.
