TESTIMONIALS
We could not have asked for a better week or a better crew. The boat was very comfortable and Zina’s food was amazing! Captain Sam is not only a great captain but managed to keep two teenage boys highly entertained! What an incredible family trip and I can’t thank you enough for being so wonderful with the boys. We will have memories to last a lifetime! Hope to see you two again. Perhaps a charter to St Martin and St Barts if we could sway you to leave the BVI’s. Suzy, KD, Frank .
What An Incredible Trip
Sam and Zina were AMAZING! In addition to being great and fun people, they are wonderful at what they do. Zina is a great cook. The meals and presentation were always a highlight of the day. We knew we were always in good shape with Sam. He knew exactly what he was doing, And- he always had a smile on his face and had everything under control. Sam and Zina looked after the yacht meticulously! An incredible trip. I give Sam and Zina the highest recommendation possible! - Daniel .
Highest Recommendation
Every aspect of this trip exceeded expectations! The yacht was beautiful and spacious - it was immaculately clean and organized at all times. The most amazing aspect of the trip was our hosts/captain/chef/first mate, Sam and Zina! They were both gracious, kind, knowledgeable, attentive, FUN hosts! They were both patient and accommodating with all our needs and requests – from things we wanted to do, places we wanted to go, what we wanted to drink, what we wanted to eat. They planned and execu.
Gracious, Kind and Knowledgeable
Not enough stars to give to our crew. Sam and Zina were the BEST! One of the best vacations we have had; enjoyed every minute. Every meal planned by Zina was too good to miss; she took amazing care of us. Sam kept us laughing and entertained, and his attention to details kept us feeling safe. Hope to come back soon and will definitely look for Sam and Zina's charter. - Kathy.
Not Enough Stars To Give
Sam and Zina were simply the best!!! We have vacationed many places but truly nothing compares to the friendship, care, expertise, food and love that we received from them. Zina's cooking was absolutely 5 star.!!! Sam was a guide, a friend, a bartender- a man of all trades!!! If you are even considering this wonderful trip - just do it!!! They are the best! We will return and won’t want one thing different!! Well.. except perhaps an extended stay. 💕💕💕💕 This boat is magnificent!!.
Simply The Best!
Our cruise on Sail Away was excellent. The boat was in great condition, very clean and well maintained. The crew of Mike, Leslie and Leanne were outstanding. They were the best and we were so sad to leave them at the end of the cruise. They went out of their way to take great care of us and the meals, etc. were superb ! It was great ! There were no improvements that I can think of. Complete satisfaction on our part ! Yes……you can use us as a reference. Best regards .

Needless to say you are on my recommendation list!!!.
Praise from the broker for an early June charter on SAIL AWAY:
The crew exceeded ALL expectations. Adrien was super chill, Vanessa was super hospitable, and Leanne, OMG her cooking was amazing. She seemed to be working the ENTIRE time. Every meal was AMAZING. We loved our experience on Sail Away! Cabins were surprisingly spacious and lots of great areas to hang out (including the bow and the very upper deck). We learned there's a big difference between a 50 ft Cat and a 60 ft like Sail Away, we are spoiled now! The crew exceeded ALL expectations, we .

We recently spent 10 days aboard Sail Away with Colleen and Peter Lauber. The experience from beginning to end was seamless and transporting. First, our charter broker arranged the charter and facilitated travel plans and navigating the BVI Covid restrictions/requirements. That was a great help! The BVI are VERY Covid safe by the way. Once you do the required paperwork and testing it is fabulous to be here. So don’t let that stop you from coming!! We met Colleen and Peter at the Cay, a sho.

Captain Jason, Steward Lucy and Chef Louis, treated all of us with professionalism and enthusiasm. Every request was greeted with a smile. We can't wait to book our next trip aboard Vacoa! Thanks again for an incredible time! Jennifer Attaw.

This is the second time that we vacationed on the Vacoa with friends and we had another fabulous week with great weather in the BVI! The crew kept us busy with multiple destinations and activities daily; we loved Oil Nut Bay, Scrub Island, Bitter End and the remote bays where everyone had a blast with multiple water activities! Captain Jason did an unbelievable job keeping us very active while Chef Will was back in the kitchen preparing fantastic breakfasts, lunches, snacks and dinners! Luc.

We chartered Vacoa in the BVI in January of 2017 and enjoyed every minute of it. The boat is a 620 Lagoon (our second trip on the same model) and I would not charter in the BVI on any other model of boat. The fact that the top deck can accommodate all 10 guests beats any other boat in its class. The boat is in great condition and the salon and state rooms are well appointed. Jason and Team did a wonderful job and the food blew away our expectations (which were high from our previous trip.

Charter June 15th- 22th 2016, Tortola-Tortola
This charter was by far the best I have been on to date...maybe it was the yacht? Maybe it was the crew? Both were amazing and better than expected. The yacht's condition was impeccable, the accommodations definitely met with our expectations, perhaps even better. We did not fully appreciate the upper deck of the yacht; I think we hung out there most of the time. We also did not realize we had a fourth crew member which was terrific! The crew was phenomenal. Xavier and Claire were so prof.

I can easily recommend this boat with existing crew to anyone that want to have a time of their life experience. Thank you.
Charter 19th to 26th of March 2016, Saint-Martin - Saint-Martin:
Just a quick check in after a most delightful week on the water with great friends and a fantastic crew! The chef Christine was also over the top on professional skills and food quality/presentation, and always pleasant and open to teaching us about her dishes and how they were prepared. As a business owner myself, I know it is important to get prompt and direct feedback and consider this a 100+ score, simply blew us away! It goes without saying that the captain and crew had our comfort and hos.

Charter 9th -16th May 2015 - St Marteen to St Barth
Feedback from the broker : I finally got ahold of M. XXX to get a report on their sailing vacation in St Martin with Xavier and Clare and Christine on VACOA and he has only superlatives for the boat, crew and experience. He was ecstatic about the food, the service, Xaviers energy and flexibility with doing water sports with the kids, playing DJ and helping guide the itinerary choices. They said they would charter that boat again with that crew. .
Charter 19th-26th April 2015 - St Marteen
Our charter has been sensational! Xavier is very skilled and knowledgeable, first mate Claire has been wonderful, and chef Manuela extraordinary, fabulous cuisine. All of the crew work well together. Susan and I speak French with them, some Italian with Manuela, but they are all fluent in English. They have been particularly patient and helpful with the grandchildren. The boat itself is super, but the setup of the bathrooms could be better, which has nothing to do with the crew, of course. I.

Warm and friendly, Captain Mike and Chef Lesley Blamey will spoil you with true South African hospitality. From the moment you step aboard, you will feel at home in the comfortable and beautifully appointed Sail Away. They grew up together, in the Sub Tropical coast of KwaZulu Natal, and the ocean and watersports have always been a big part of their life. They traveled extensively meeting new people and making friends around the world, and enjoying the cultures and cuisines of the world, and decided that once they sold their National Transport Company, and the children had graduated and left home they would pursue a more relaxed lifestyle sharing their love of the ocean, water sports, traveling, meeting new people, enjoying their cultures and cuisines and making new friends.
Mike is a qualified RYA Yachtmaster with over 50,000 sea miles under his belt. Together they have sailed and explored the Indian, Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. It gives him great pleasure to assist a total novice in getting up and sailing with a little guidance and encouragement. He is also a qualified Padi Dive Master, and will happily assist certified divers on planning their dives and accompany them as their guide. As an accomplished water-skier, and surfer he will soon have you up and riding on your water sports of choice. He is very competent in maintaining and running all aspects of his yacht. His warm and giving personality, love of life, sense of humor and honesty make him a great captain to sail with. His "generous" barman's skills and great tales will have guests laughing into the night. He's also a great DJ.
Lesley is a certified diver, and with 45000 sea miles logged is also proficient at the helm and in all crew aspects.
A great cook - who's skills in the galley will delight you. Her wonderful cuisine, reflects favored dishes from around world, varied and beautifully presented. A true Piscies, you'll find her in the water as as much as on it. She will happily take you on guided snorkeling safaris, pointing out all the varied corals and fish found in the beautiful Caribbean waters. From the moment you board Sail Away she will make you feel relaxed and at home, while making sure your every need is attended to. Mike and Lesley have been happily married for 40 years. ******** Mike, Leslie and Leeann will be leaving Sail Away at the end of November, 2024
Sam and Zina met on holiday in St Marten, where they hatched a plan to work together offering concierge, experienced rich ccrewed charters in paradise. They have been sailing professionally side-by-side, full-time for more than nine years, all over the eastern
Caribbean, across the Atlantic and the Mediterranean. They consider themselves very lucky to be living in beautiful places,
sharing their happiness, excellent food and enthusiasm with their guests.
Sam has worked as a full-time captain for more than a decade, accumulating thousands of miles at sea, including a transatlantic passage as captain. He is committed to ensuring the highest level of safety, service and fun for every guest. As soon as you step on board you will feel relaxed and at home. His long list of interests include BBQing, making cocktails, stargazing & engaging in interesting topics of conversation. For fitness he enjoys water sports, especially diving & anything involving a sail and on occasion he plays the guitar too.
Chef Zina is from Ukraine and grew up in the seaside town of Yalta in Crimea. She worked in the hotel business from a young age and lived in Italy before meeting Sam. She obtained her culinary training as a yacht chef in France, England and Thailand. Guests love Zina’s kindness and her prowess in the galley, where she consistently produces beautiful and delicious meals. Her other interests include music, dancing, swimming & scuba diving.
Anna is an experienced yacht crew having sailed 40,000nm over a 7 years period exploring many beautiful places with her husband on their catamaran. They started their journey from the Dominican Republic down through the eastern Caribbean, Barbados, ABC Islands, Colombia, Panama, across the Pacific Ocean to French Polynesia, to New Zealand, then onto Fiji, across to Indonesia, Seychelles and finally to Tanzania where we sold our boat. On returning to England, Anna completed her silver service and maritime training and continued life at sea working on commercial yachts. She worked in the roles of stewardess, deckhand, 2nd mate and chef. She naturally cares for others and their wellbeing and would enjoy offering yoga and fitness sessions onboard in addition to serving her guests on charter.
In her spare time she volunteers at her local church and participates in local clubs - from gardening to golfing - leading an active lifestyle.
Anna is looking forward to sharing her experience and ensuring that her guests have the best time on charter.

She is a natural earth mother, who enjoys children, is fun, easy going, helpful and resourceful. She will happily play surrogate "granny" to the kids, keeping them entertained and happy while you enjoy a scuba dive or a visit to one of the fabulous beach bars or restaurants on the islands. From the moment you board Sail Away she will make you feel relaxed and at home, while making sure your every need is attended to. Mike and Lesley have been happily married for 40 years. Their friendship, respect and happiness together makes them a great team, and they look forward to giving you a holiday of a lifetime.
