This is a question we get asked all the time.  We recommend at least six months in advance to guarantee more yacht options. You can also get the dates you want if you book in advance. Yachts fill up their calendars, and sometimes you have to adjust your dates closer to the time. Coordinating family and friends’ calendars is never easy, and planning and booking early takes the stress away from finding the perfect vacation on short notice. Flight and accommodation prices (before and after your charter stay) will be better; again, you will have more options. Holiday weeks and school vacations are popular dates and books up quickly; this is another reason to book early and in advance. There are specials closer to the time, and if you can make last-minute travel plans, you can use them, but they are never guaranteed. At Harper Yachting, our clients book their charters an average of 5 months in advance and even longer if it is a special occasion, school vacation, or holiday week.
